We’re proud to announce our 2023-24 season of plays – it’s our 50th! To find our more, click on the image below (there’s a link to where you can buy subscriptions, too.)
Now that we’ve reached our 50TH SEASON, our aspirations from the 1970’s are still as fresh as ever:
The only way is up. We, the Village Players, evolved from meagre beginnings to the plateau you see today – the opening of a permanent theatre here in West Toronto. But, it is only a plateau, for our horizons lay much farther, our standards set much higher . . . Only you, our present and potential audience can make it happen-by sharing your knowledge, your talents and enthusiasm. We appeal for your involvement; no contribution is too small. Together, we can make it happen.~ Cyndi Gordine, 1977

Audiences benefit from our updated AC and ventilation to bring in fresh air from outside, with UVC purification (designed for hospitals) to kill viruses in the air. See our subscription page to read about our intentions for masking and limited capacity for the 2023-24 season.
As an audience member said:
“It is so nice to be in an actual theatre again. And I felt perfectly safe with all the precautions you’ve taken. Lovely show.”
Keep your theatre thriving
Things are brighter, but we still need your help!
Your financial help and moral support have been key factors in our survival during these last 2 plus years. But we are very aware that variations of the COVID virus are still with us, and that we are not completely free of the constraints that it has brought to our lives. Your support helps us continue to produce quality theatre at a modest cost to the community.

Bloor West Village Players updates its COVID-19 Safety Plans for our ongoing live theatre. See our subscription page to read about our intentions for masking and limited capacity for the 2023-24 season.

As ever, the safety of our patrons and volunteers is our prime concern. We will be taking every possible action to achieve that, going above and beyond government guidelines where we think necessary. Please keep checking back to see our updates.

In the first year of the pandemic we gave away volunteer-made cloth face masks with a Village logo decal to our patrons and volunteers. Here’s a composite photo with some happy (and masked) recipient

In the meantime, have a look at some of our past seasons. Just click on one of the images below, and read more about that season and all the plays in it…
