
Rob Candy as Dr. Cyrus Norton Rob has performed in many Village shows, most recently in Book of Will, and Love Letters. Other work with Irish Players: The Seafarer, and Brownbread; Alumnae: Female of the Species, August Osage County; East Side: The Wild Guys; and Scarborough Guild: Opening Night.

Jordan Johnstone as Opal Jordan is no stranger to the theatre, but normally you wouldn’t find her on stage, but in the costume shop, where she builds costumes for places like the National Ballet, the Canadian Opera Company, and The Stratford Festival. She is thrilled to join the Village Playhouse for her first production!

Chris Irving as Dr. Charles Withers Chris last appeared at the Village 20 years ago in Woman in Black. Recent stage: Pugwash (Curtain Club), The Seafarer (Toronto Irish Players), I Hate Hamlet (Scarborough Players). Recognition for his work includes: ACT-CO award for Angus in Tempting Providence (2020); Theatre Ontario award for Anthony in Outside Mullingar (2017)

William MacGregor as William Dover Will is delighted to be making his debut at The Village Playhouse, after performing on stages in Halifax, Montreal, and Toronto. Recent highlights include Back to the Bar at the Toronto Fringe (2023), Inflections in Greatness at Alumnae Theatre (2023), and Much Ado About Nothing at the Dartmouth Players (2020).

Abby Craig as Marilyn Norton Abby is thrilled by her Village Playhouse stage debut. She is grateful to have found such a lovely community of creatives after earning her BFA in Acting from the University of Windsor. All my thanks and love to my sweetheart Alex, my Mom and Dad, Sarah, Spencer, and family.

Lawrie Carruthers as Constance Norton Lawrieis pleased to return to the Village Playhouse, where she has appeared in Silver Dagger (2022), The Impossibility of Now (2022), and A Party to Murder (2016). She recently spent time overseas where she performed in Twelve Angry Jurors and The Glass Menagerie with English Theatre Madrid.

David Borwick as Leonard Scrubbs David has stepped away from his accustomed roles of ticket-collector, refreshment-seller, and booth technician, to return to the Village stage in the role of Leonard Scrubbs. The acting hiatus was a brief one, following his portrayal of Richard Burbage and William Jaggard in The Book of Will last season.

Natalie Stephenson as Gin Hester Hailing from the merry old land of Oz, Natalieis excited to be treading the boards in Toronto. Recent credits include, Shadows and Nooks (Patricia Joudry), Recipe for a Riot Grrll (Excreta) and Pretending (playwright).

Gavin Magrath as Edward Daniels Gavin is happy to be back at the Village Playhouse, after appearing in Book of Will and Silver Dagger. Other recent credits include The 39 Steps (The Curtain Club), and The Seafarer (Toronto Irish Players). Gavin was an actor as a child but disappointed his parents by becoming a lawyer.

JeN Hashimoto as Kitty JeN is thrilled to be a part of such a killer cast and crew. Previous Village Players shows: Lorna in Dead Accounts, Eva in Gloria’s Guy. 2024 Elsewhere: Prude in Things We Lost In The Fire (Crow’s Theatre), Anger in Waiting for Alison (King Black Box Theatre). Jennifer Roe-Doiron as Mrs. Culp Jennifer is thrilled to debut in this macabre thriller with The Village Playhouse, so close to home. Recent credits include Hilda, in Hilda’s Yard and Paulette, in Legally Blonde. She thanks the creative team for this opportunity, the awesome costume and set designers, and the wonderful actors she works with.

Alex Stamp as Detective Harrison Alex has performed in Toronto for the past 20 years including: The Impossibility of Now and Silver Dagger (Village Players) as well as various farces, pantomimes, mysteries, improv, and original works elsewhere. His daytime gig is also on stage as a dramatic arts teacher at Lawrence Park C.I.
