Avery MacDonald as Francis Marion Beynon
Avery is thrilled to be making her Village Players debut by playing such an important historical figure alongside such a talented cast & crew! A graduate of the University of Windsor’s BFA in Acting program, selected credits include: Mavis (Ken’s Diner, The Heap), Mrs. Borridge (The Cassilis Engagement, University Players).
Carling Tedesco as Lily Beynon
This is Carling’s first show with the Village Players! Recent credits include Julie in Jake’s Women (Scarborough Theatre Guild) and ensemble in 42nd Street with Etobicoke Musical Productions. She has performed with Burl-Oak Theatre Group, The Hive Performing Arts, NAGs Players, and Knockout Theatre. Carling is a graduate of Randolph College & McGill U.
Julie Kern as Nellie McClung
Julie is overjoyed to be back at The Village Playhouse after Crimes of the Heart and Murder Weapon! Theatre elsewhere includes The Importance of Being Earnest, Tartuffe, Twelfth Night, Our Town (UW Drama)and others Thanks to family and close friends for their unwavering support and, finally – to our patrons.
David Borwick as George McNair
David is delighted to return to the Village Playhouse stage for the second time this season, after appearing as Harry Edison in The Prisoner of Second Avenue. A special thank you to all those patrons who continued to support the theatre during the dark days of the pandemic.
Jennifer Monteith (chorus)
Jen is so happy to be back onstage! Previous Village shows include Nested (zoom), Anybody for Murder, Lady Windermere’s Fan, and An Ideal Husband. Jen stage managed Impossibility of Now and directed Murder Weapon for the Village, and during the day, successfully pretends to be a banker.
Karen Dryborough (chorus)
Karen was last seen on the Village Playhouse stage in Radio Plays, 2018. As always, she’s inspired by the joyful teamwork that is a Village trademark. Director Valary Cook’s vision for The Fighting Days is a fresh celebration of what women have accomplished and the work that still remains for us all.
Louise Da Re (chorus)
Louise is elated to appear in her first production with the Village Players, and to work with such a talented cast and crew. Louise is also affiliated with ACT II STUDIO, and the Alumnae Theatre. She sends many thanks to all supporters!
Victoria Stark (chorus)
Victoria is thrilled to be making her Village Players debut. This year, Victoria has stage-managed productions of In the Next Room, The Female of the Species (Alumnae Theatre), NeverWonder (Toronto Fringe) and assistant stage-managed Comic Potential (NAGs Players). Here’s to those who continue to shine a light in the darkest hours.

Connie is happy to be back for her 7th season with Village Players. Connie likes to stage-manage one show a season and be an ASM or operator for others. Once again, it has been a pleasure to work with Valary and the talented and creative members of the cast & crew.
