Kathleen Jackson Allamby as Janet Harrington
Kathleen is pleased to return to the Village after roles in Theft (2017) and Mr. Pim Passes By (2016). Other recent favorites elsewhere include August: Osage County, Blood Relations, You Have to Earn It! and February, A Month in the Country, The Voysey Inheritance, and The Children’s Hour. Produced plays she has written include: Glory’s Grace, The Secretary Pool, and A Fair Play.
Sammy Allouba as Max Harrington
Hello there, dear patron. First of all, thank you for coming to see the show and second, thank you for being so awesome! This is my first time on stage with the Village Playhouse so I’ll do my best to ensure you get your money’s worth. Otherwise, you could be asking… Anybody for Murder? Get it? Alright, enjoy the show!
Jennifer Monteith as Mary Ticklewell
Jennifer is happy to be back on the Village stage. Village Players credits: Mrs. Erlynne (Lady Windermere’s Fan), Gertrude (Ideal Husband), Newlywed (No Sweetheart Required). Other credits include Peggy (Gloria’s Guy), Cinderella (If the Shoe Fits), MacBeth (Shakespeare’s Greatest Hits). Jennifer studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art [England] and during the day successfully pretends to be a banker.
Steve Ness as George Ticklewell
Steve graced the Village Playhouse stage in Murder on the Nile in 1981 … then in The Drawer Boy in 2013, Blithe Spirit and Strictly Murder in 2014, The Mouse House and Mr. Pim Passes By in 2015, and Fox on the Fairway in 2016. In the intervening years were short films, commercials, and British Farces. He’d like to thank Laura, Jeff and the Goose.
Madeleine Spadafora as Suzy Stevens
Madeleine is a Toronto actress excited to be back on the Village Players stage following A Party to Murder (2016). Having attended Etobicoke School of the Arts with a major in Musical Theatre and recently graduated from the University of Toronto with a Specialist in Cinema Studies, she is passionate about both film and theatre. She also enjoys thunderstorms & horror movies.
Edward Karek as Edgar Chambers
Edward’s appearances with the Village Players include Lend Me a Tenor (2012) and Laura (2010). Productions elsewhere include Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Anne Boleyn, Elizabeth Rex and Nude With Violin with East Side Players. Edward was with the repertory Stage Centre Productions from 1999 to 2011, and for many years enjoyed working as an extra for the Canadian Opera Company.
