Theatre does not exist without an audience, which makes you the most vital part of our community. Without you there would be no Village Players. Your support over the years, for which we are so grateful, has shown us that the Village is important to you. Now, we need you more than ever.
Your financial support can be the mighty force that helps the community we’ve built together thrive beyond this pandemic. The theatre’s long-term survival is at stake, and we hope that, if you are able, you will join us as we face the most challenging time we have ever seen.
Will you help support the Village by making a monthly online pledge, or a one-time donation? If you have already donated recently, we thank you for your support. A tax receipt will automatically be issued for any contribution of $25 or more.

Now, as always, we are proud to say that The Village Players’ major source of income comes from subscriptions and ticket sales. (Village Players does not rely on government grants. ) Where does all the money go? Since the Village Playhouse is run solely by volunteers, including board members, the money goes back into the theatre, paying for such things as rent, production costs, royalties, maintenance & cleaning, hydro and telephone. Here’s a pie-chart peek at our financial breakdown, and the significant role of private donations (click on images to make them larger):
We are a Registered Charity, #05469782213. Tax receipts are available for donations greater than $25.00.
In addition to tax receipts, donations of $50 or more will be recognized on the Wall of Fame in our theatre lobby:
