THE BLOOR WEST VILLAGE PLAYERS
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
will take place on

Sunday, November 15th at 7p.m.

Everyone is invited. In addition to members we especially welcome our loyal patrons and those who might be interested in joining the group. You will hear all about the 2025/2026 52nd season and our plans for 2026-27. You can also take the opportunity to find out more about us and how you can get (perhaps even more) involved, renew some friendships, and enjoy some light refreshments. Membership remains free; we just need your blood, sweat,enthusiasm and laughter!

This year, we have several items to consider in response to our Auditor’s recommendation that we present the finished financial statements for the completed year at the AGM (rather than an interim update), including:

 Ratifying changes to our By-Law #1 to accommodate the new timetable;

 Considering the 2024-2025 Financial Statements/Review Report in addition to those for 2025-2026;

 Ratifying the Board’s decision to re-appoint J&J accounting to review 2025-2026;

 Approving the re-appointment of J&J Accounting to review 2026-2027.

Only members of The Village Players active last season may vote, These are those who volunteered in any capacity on a production mounted in the 52nd season, or who volunteered during that season in a non-production capacity (e.g. as a committee member). If you intend to vote, and we hope you do, please check the ‘Voter List’. If you believe there is an error, please contact us prior to the AGM. Our ability to rectify errors on the day will be limited!

We will also be electing or acclaiming the Board of Directors for 2026/2027. If you wish to stand for the Board of Directors, Nomination Forms must be received by Sunday, November 1, 2026. See the Notice of Elections document. Please talk to a Board Member if interested, or if you are looking for someone to nominate you.

NOTE: There will be NO nominations from the floor at the AGM.

Questions are welcomed. We always try to answer them.

It would help us to plan catering if you could let us know that you plan to attend by replying to bwvp2190@yahoo.ca. But of course, drop-ins are welcome.
